  • Starships were meant to fly

The only thing I’ve learned is that you can’t move on alone. You need someone else to show you that behind all the clouds, the sun is still shining.

Find out who you are and be that person. That’s what your soul was put on this earth to be. Find that truth, and everything else will come.

I’ve learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just assholes. I’ve learned that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it. I’ve learned that you shouldn’t compare yourself to others; they are more screwed up than you think. I’ve learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away.

If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never get it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.

Sometimes it’s easier to feel like you’re the only one in the world who’s struggling, who’s frustrated or unsatisfied or barely getting by, but the feeling is alive and if you just hold on. Just find the courage to face it all for another day. Someone or something will find you and make it all okay, because we all need a little help sometimes. Someone to help us hear the music in our world, to remind us that it won’t always be this way, that someone is out there and that someone will find you.

I wish that time was a matter of choice, that you could live your life controlling it. Speeding it up, sometimes, but mostly slowing it down. Stay at a party as long as you like. Prolong the conversation until everything is known. To feel such a longing for my own life, even as I’m living it.

Rock bottom is a beautiful start.

I wish people would just say what they feel. Who cares about fucking signals. This isn’t a four way crossing. This is life and it should be spent living, not hoping they’ll catch on.

You want to know what living life to the fullest actually is? It’s waking up on a Monday morning with no complaints. It’s knowing you always deserve to laugh. It’s doing what feels right no matter what. It’s doing what you want to, no matter how stupid you look. It’s about being yourself, because no one can tell you you’re doing it wrong.

Whatever flaws you have, people are going to notice them, and whatever strengths you have, you’re going to need them.

You don’t have to be tough every minute of every day. It’s okay to let down your guard. In fact, there’s moments when it’s the best thing you could possibly do; as long as you choose those moments wisely.
